Kinda Disappointed... + Pink Wednesday, kinda.

Heyyyy gals! :) SO today I had this adorable pink wednesday mani planned...and I could NOT find my dotting tools. So, I tried to use a toothpick... yeah, that FAILED. I felt like Ray William Johnson was gonna look at my nails and go:

So I had to take it off. And I tried a polish that I got recently, OPI Your Royal Shine-Ness. I was originally not going to get it, but after seeing ALU's swatches of it, I wanted it. The promises of a silver foil with some gold in it reeled me in...but sadly, let me down. In her review, Michelle called it a foil version of Spark De Triomphe, which I LOOOOVED(!!!) and on her nails, it did look like that. On mine, sadly, it just looked like an ordinary silver foil. I was a little let down, just because I had high hopes for this polish...oh well, it's a good foil, nonetheless. The swatches below are two swatches, with a coat of Poshe. Oh, and after cleaning my room, I found my dotting tools so this Wednesday shall NOT go by pinkless! :) I know it's not pink'd out, but I like subtlety. The pinks on my ring finger are China Glaze Rich & Famous, and Color Club Warhol. Enjoy:

OH, I learned how to do dots properly after one of Kayla Shevonne's tutorials. The girl is a GENIUS.

As always, thanks for reading. Happy Hump Day...well, what's left of it :)

My Apologies

Hey gals, I'm so sorry for not posting in almost a week! It's been a weird week. First the heat wave that almost KILLED me...even though I come from Hispanic parents, I HATE the heat. The warmest I can take is about 80 degrees. Anything higher than that is annoying to me. And Friday was the WORST! I tried to put polish on but the heat and humidity caused major bubbles so I gave up. Then on Sunday, I woke up sick. I kept getting fevers on and off, I had a sore throat, my head hurt....it was horrible. I'm better now, so I'll probably do my nails and have something ready for you guys tomorrow. I'm so sorry for the lack of posts, hopefully you guys forgive me!

Thanks for reading, as always. Is anyone else in the region that got hit by the heat?

Pink Wednesday: Color Club Electro Candy

Hey gals! For Pink Wednesday I decided to go with a neon pink, because it's summer and I love neons :) I chose Color Club Electro Candy and I'm glad I did. Man, Color Club does great neons. I have quite a few of their neons and I love all of them. I even have backup bottles of Warhol because I love it that much. Anyways, Electro Candy is a medium neon pink with a silverish/blueish shimmer that makes the polish pop even more. Swatches are three coats, with a coat of Poshe. Bear in mind that this is a neon, so it dries to a satin finish without a shiny topcoat. It kinda freaked out my camera, so the pictures are kiiinda blurry. Oh, and my cuticles look terrible because it's early and I forgot to put on my Solar Oil, my apologies. Anyways, enjoy:

(excuse the polish on my finger, oops!)

Thanks for reading! Happy Hump Day!

MAJOR LEMMING FULFILLED!! (and essence haul)

OMG! I AM SOOOO EXCITED! So today, I decided I'd go to Ulta for the first time ever. I've never been to Ulta because the closest one is pretty far away from me. I picked up a few essence polishes, which you'll all see below in the pictures of my mini haul. Anyyyways, I left Ulta and decided to go to a beauty supply that I usually go to, just to see if they had any new stuff. Well, they didn't, but they did have old stuff. Old as in, China Glaze Side Saddle (!!!!!!!) old. It took all the will power I had to not jump for joy in that little beauty supply. Side Saddle, for those of you who don't know, is from China Glaze's 2008 Fall collection, Rodeo Diva, which is THE BEST FALL NAIL POLISH COLLECTION EVER!! I've been lemming these polishes FOR EVER!! I still want a whole lot more, but I am SOOOO incredibly happy to have found this. For whoever actually read this, I'll shut up and put up pictures.

First up, my mini essence haul:
Fabuless, Movie Star, Can't Cheat On Me, Choose Me!, Enchanted Fairy

Now onto the point of this post:

This was two coats, with a coat of Poshe. It is simply amazing, and I love it. It's a brown/plum base with gold and red shimmer. It is love. :) If ever I get enough readers to do a give-away, I'm considering going back to buy another bottle of this for it. THAT's how much I love this polish.

OPI Light My Sapphire

Hey gals! Sorry for the absence, I was feeling quite uninspired. I even left my nails naked for a couple of days, because I knew I wouldn't be leaving the house. Thank goodness that's over! Tonight I'm going out with the boyfriend, so of course I painted my nails :) The color I chose is Light My Sapphire by OPI. It came out in the Night Brights collection, and it truly is gorgeous. In low lighting, it looks black, but up close and in sunlight, it's a stunning dark blue with microshimmer... it's gorgeous. It's great for when you want chic nails without having to go black. The swatches below are two coats, topped with a coat of Poshe.
Here are outside shots:

 And indoors, with flash:
Remember, the pics are clickable! :) Thanks for reading! OH! Before I forget: I'm not only into nail polish, I love make up, too. Would you guys like to see some EOTD looks? Let me know! :)

Strawberry Accent Nails

Hi! So a couple of days ago, while reading one of my favorite blogs, Swatch and Learn, I got inspired to do nail art again. I've tried nail art in the past, like this design I tried for Easter:

And even this gradient manicure I tried:

So I wanted to take a swing at a cute design that Mary posted, which you can see here. It was hard to take off my nail polish though, I had grown attached to it after a full week (!!) of wear. Just for fun, here are pictures of it:

See those chips? That was after cleaning my oven. It didn't bother me much though, considering it happened on day 7 of my manicure. In case you're curious, that's two coats of Claire's Mood Polish in Wild/Calm under one coat of OPI I Lily Love You.

Anyways, on to my attempt at strawberry nails. I'm a big fan of accent nails so I decided to only do strawberries on my ring fingers. Here's what I used:

That's Gelous nail gel as a base, two coats of China Glaze Strawberry Fields, China Glaze Happy Go Lucky for the seeds, Art Deco Forest Green for the leaves, and Poshe top coat on top of it all. Oh, and a dotting tool. Here's how they came out:

Surprisingly, my right hand looked better than my left, which is odd because I'm a rightie. Here's a picture of my left hand though, just to show you what I mean:

Not the best picture, I know, but I didn't want to take pictures of this hand because it looks worse than the other one, hehe :x

Well, there you have it. I kinda like it, it's very cute and summer-y. Thanks for reading! Let me know what you think! :)

China Glaze 108 Degrees

Hello :) today I have another China Glaze swatch, only this one was released much more recently than the last one I showed you. It's 108 Degrees, from China Glaze's Island Escape collection. I love the glass flecks in this polish, it's what China Glaze is known for. I used two coats, plus a coat of Poshe. :)

P.S. The images are clickable, so you can see the color/finish better. :)

And here's a slightly blurry one to show how sparkly the glass flecks are:
