Obnoxiously Bright Manicure

Hey girls... I'm not sure how to start this anymore. My boyfriend was reading my blog the other day and making fun of me so I'm not sure what to say to not sound dumb /: he's such a jerk. I hate when people I know read my blog.. I'd much rather have people that I don't know read it. Am I weird for that? Anyways, today I have a mani to show you that I just took off. It's really bright and loud and in-your-face and I'm not entirely sure what possessed me to do my nails like that. Here is two coats of Essie Pink Parka with China Glaze Fairy Dust on all of my fingers except my ring fingers, which have OPI Servin' Up Sparkle on them. Here you go:

This picture does not show the glow-yness of this polish very well. It's so weird to see a neon in an Essie bottle, right? I'm so used to very... 'grown up' colors from Essie. I'd expect a color like this from Color Club or China Glaze, but not Essie. In fact, I'm sure Color Club and China Glaze have dupes. It's a common color, medium neon pink. The formula was...okay. Not the worst formula I've ever used but far from the best. Keep in mind that I have patience with crappy formulas so it might drive some of you up a wall what with all the bald spots and streaking. Luckily, the glitter and Seche helped it level out.

What do you think? Liking this or hating it? Let me know, thanks for reading! :)

  1. I'm sorry to hear about the not-so-nice things your boyfriend said about your blog. Keep at it, we love it! :)

I also love this mani. Bright is never a bad thing, in my opinion. Such a pretty combination of shimmer/glitter. What a great idea layering a different glitter polish over your accent nail - I did it recently and liked how it turned out.

Keep your chin up, doll. Keep on polishin' and bloggin'. :)

  2. Thanks for your kind words of encouragement, A Polished Touch. It wasn't so much mean stuff, he was just reading it in a really annoying Valley Girl type voice and teasing me about it /: And I loved the different glitter on the accent nail thing, it was only a subtle difference from the rest of my nails but I loved the overall effect. Thanks again for being so nice :)

  5. I'm loving this color! And I know what you mean... no one that personally knows me knows about my blog, and I like it that way. They always make fun of my polish obsession, so blogging is where I can share my love and obsession for it all with people who understand! Plus, people you know are more judgemental of it!

  6. Pink Parka is amaaaazing, wanting it forever but it's really hard to find lately. <3 I just love bright pinks. <3
Sooner or later he'll realize how a great blogger you are. :) He'll be amazed how many ladies can share an addiction like your, pink addicts power. :P

  7. @ Peace, Love and Polish: I agree, the people I know would give me hell if they read my blog /: I kinda wish I hadn't told the few people I've told about my blog.

@ Ivana: I know, it's a great pink to have. I'm sorry you can't find it easily. And hopefully he'll come around and stop making fun of me /:
